My talented friend Laura Lynn Petrick took these photographs for my Cleopatra Collection. The full lookbook can be found here and can be purchased here. This collection consists of four headpieces all made from black sinamay and chain. Each leaf is constructed by me with wire and a lot of hand stitching. The headpieces are fastened to the hair with combs, but because they are hand molded they sit on the head comfortably and securely. I named the collection after Cleopatra because of the silhouette of course, but also because she is a brave and powerful woman in our history. When I wear it I feel like you could plop me down in the forest at some unknown date and I could lead a group of people into battle!
